Massage services offered:
Corporate seated chair: Chair massage, also known as corporate massage, can be a convenient method of massage therapy. A chair massage session typically lasts 10-25 minutes, and is performed while fully clothed. Chair massage promotes better circulation, muscle stimulation and stress relief. This form of massage reduces tension in the back, neck, shoulders, head, arms, hands, legs or feet, providing a deep relaxation effect. Chair massages are also advantageous because chair massage practitioners will frequently make work- or house calls. Chair massage can also be done in hotels, airports and convention centers.
Deep Tissue Massage Deep tissue: Deep tissue techniques are generally designed for more focused massage work. Working a specific joint, muscle or muscle group, the practitioner can access deeper layers of the soft tissue. Starting superficially and easing into the depth of the muscle slowly often allows more movement. Very little massage cream is used as the pressure doesn't travel much over the skin. Deep Tissue Massage is also used as alternative treatment for Parkinson's disease. One of the most common symptoms of Parkinson's is rigidity and stiffness of the limbs and trunk. $75.00 for 60 min., $115.00 for 90 min.
Pregnancy Massage is a natural touch therapy treatment aimed at alleviating some of following pregnancy related symptoms: backaches, headaches, shoulder and neck aches, pain in the pelvic/hip area, lessons sciatic pain, increases circulation and improves digestion, reduces fatigue, improves skin elasticity, helps reduce swelling in the hands and lower legs, promotes relaxation and deep breathing. $75.00 for 60 min.
Sport’s Massage is a method of massage to prepare an athlete for an upcoming event, such as a marathon, and to aid in the body’s recovery following a sporting event. The massage will help prepare the athlete for peak performance, to drain away fatigue, to relieve swelling, to reduce muscle tension, to promote flexibility and to prevent injuries. $75.00 for 60 min., $115.00 for 90 min.
Swedish/Relaxation Massage uses slow gentle (effleurage) or vigorous stokes (petrissage) to relax and soften the tissue. Swedish massage shortens recovery time from muscular strain by flushing the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes. It increases circulation without increasing heart load. It stretches the ligaments and tendons keeping them supple and pliable. Swedish massage also stimulates the skin and nervous system and soothes the nerves themselves at the same time. It reduces stress, both emotional and physical, and is suggested in a regular program for stress management. $75.00 for 60 min., $115.00 for 90 min.
Trigger Point Massage A trigger point is an area of a muscle (about 50 cells) that may refer pain sensations to other parts of the body. Trigger Point Therapy applies manual pressure to these points. With the proper pressure, duration and location, immediate release of tension and improved muscular functioning may occur. This therapy has been known to diminish migraine pain, mock sciatica, mock carpal tunnel syndrome and other pain syndromes, and other symptoms that may have been misdiagnosed. Sometimes this work is incorporated into other styles of massage therapy such as neuromuscular therapy (NMT) or even Swedish. $75.00 for 60 min., $115.00 for 90 min.
Hot Stone Massage uses naturally smoothed basalt stones that are heated to 120 degrees for this 90 minute full body massage. The warm oiled rocks are used to work all muscle areas of your body, penetrating deeper beyond layers than most other types of massage. This gentle yet thorough method of working the muscles assists your body's own natural healing ability and carries you well beyond the physical experience of massage. Both balancing and restorative, Hot Stone Massage is a wonderful way to leave time and space. $125.00 for 90 min.
